Vestibular Dysfunction
Vestibular dysfunction may be an underlying cause of impairments in balance, coordination, postural control, and vision which may manifest as reading disorders in students. 85% of students with hearing loss may also have vestibular dysfunction. As many as 67% of students with learning disabilities may have vestibular dysfunction. There are specific, objective methods to test for vestibular dysfunction. They are often cost prohibitive for independent schools. At Estacion de Inspiracion, we have the knowledge, know how and equipment to test for this all too common condition and intervene as well.
